Frequently Asked Questions

Deciding on which shoe size to get can be tricky. Babies don’t come in one size and they grow and develop at very different rates. The most accurate way to get the best fit is to measure your little ones foot. Please refer to our size guide for help, our size guide is designed using foot length, remember to add an extra 1-1.5cm for comfort and growth.

Although not impossible, you child will most lightly out grow the shoe before this happens. Our soles are made from suede leather of 1.5mm thick so its quite durable. I havent see it happen yet. In fact I’ve seen shoes pass hands through multiple children.

Yes, with pleasure, as long as they haven’t been worn and are in the same condition you bought them in.

Provided we stock the colour you need, we can do that for you. We may just need a few days to put it through production.

New creation shoes are made from either cow, sheep or goat leather which has been tested and specially prepared. We don’t use pigskin in any of our shoes.

Totally personal preference, seeing as our shoes are non limiting and allow the foot to move and bend as if barefoot there isn’t any thing to worry about. Most moms use the shoes for warmth and keeping feet clean and protected once the child is mobile, either crawling or walking.

Many people think this way but in fact barefoot walking is best for foot development ( provided there’s no foot issues that need specific help from shoes) a child bones in their feet are cartilage like up until then age of 4 years old so shoes should be chosen carefully. Soft sole shoes are proven to be the closest to bare foot walking with shoes on. Traditional shoes can sometimes trip beginner walkers up as the sole grips to the ground as the walk.

Spot clean with a damp cloth or baby wipe, if deeper cleaning is needed make sure to hand wash (not machine wash) be sure not to dry in direct sunlight as this will dry the leather. Once dry the shoes can be worked with your hand to soften them back to normal, as they may become a bit stiff from washing.
If the leather looks dry please apply leather food moisture restoration

Our shoes are made of natural leather, some colour may run/rub off from the shoes from time to time. This can happen if babies feet become slightly damp from sweat or wet from water, especially with our more vibrant colours. We expect the colour run will disappear after a couple of wears, or after running a slightly damp over the inner shoe a few times. If you are unhappy please get in touch
